Neste has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the 18th consecutive year. The company earned a place on both the DJSI World and DJSI Europe indices, which recognize top-performing companies based on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
The annual evaluation, conducted by S&P Global through its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), assesses companies across various industries. Neste scored particularly well in areas such as human rights, biodiversity, climate strategy, and supply chain management, positioning it among the top performers in its sector for 2023.
Päivi Makkonen, Neste’s Vice President of Sustainability, commented on the recognition, stating that it reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to support sustainable practices and contribute to a lower-carbon economy.
The DJSI indices evaluate thousands of companies globally, selecting only the highest-ranked in each industry. The methodology includes a thorough review of economic, environmental, and social factors.
In addition to its inclusion in the DJSI, Neste has been recognized by other sustainability-focused ratings and indices, such as CDP, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, MSCI ESG Rating Index, and the Global 100.
